3rd ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL DOCTORAL SYMPOSIUMON ARAB & MUSLIM MEDIA RESEARCH
Date: 25th April 2009
Venue: 2C Lecture Theatre, King’s College, University of London
The Strand Campus, London WC2R 2LS
CALL FOR PAPERS
CAMMRO has been a pioneer in organising the first gathering of its kind for researchers in Arab and Muslim media and their audiences. The first and second symposia organised in King’s College, and Goldsmiths (University of London in 2007 and 2008) made great success and attracted a large number of researchers.
The scope of the third annual symposium addresses media, communication and culture in not only the Arab World but in various other Muslim countries from Africa and Asia. The event also covers research on diasporic and minority media such as satellite TV, radio and the internet especially in Europe and the USA.
Because of the thriving ongoing research on these areas of enquiry, CAMMRO’s research team have established this symposium as annual event that brings together research students working on Arab or Muslim media of all types.
